Marchel P. Espina - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines – A 79-year-old Australian man was found dead inside the comfort room of his rented house at Barangay 4 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on August 22.

Superintendent Herman Garbosa, Kabankalan City Police chief, identified the victim as Anthony Coach, a retired military, whose body was discovered lying on the CR’s floor by his live-in partner, 47-year-old Nelma Ralo.

Garbosa said Coach was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival. He opined that the victim may have suffered a cardiac arrest, but an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

He said the Australian Embassy will be informed about the incident and death of Coach.
