Ex-Rep. Limkaichong to return to politics
CEBU, Philippines - Negros Oriental's former 1st district representative Jocelyn Limkaichong confirmed yesterday that she is returning back to politics in 2016 after a devastating loss for the governorship in 2013.
Limkaichong, however, said she will abide by whatever decision the Liberal Party will want her to run in 2016 and, for now, she is still concentrating on her business.
She denied speculations she will be running for a congressional seat in the 2nd district against Manuel Sagarbarria, who is incumbent Dumaguete City mayor belonging to the Nationalist Peoples Coalition.
Meanwhile, there was still no word on the plans of La Libertad town last-termer Mayor Pikdin Limkaichong, husband of the former representative, whether to slide to the vice mayoralty position or take a rest for three years before returning to politics. — Juancho R. Gallarde (FREEMAN)
