BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – The total gross sales of the 9th Negros Island Organic Farmers Festival in this city have reached more than P3.2 million, an increase from last year’s earnings of more than P2.55 million.
This was confirmed by Ramon Uy Jr., president of the Organic na Negros Organic Producers and Retailers Association (ONOPRA), who added that the first day’s gross sales reached P581,179, followed by P706,915 on the second day, then P782,366 on the third day, P775,125 on the fourth day and P393,119 on the fifth and final day.
The festival has 223 exhibitors, compared to the 154 last year, which sold fresh organic vegetables, grains, fruits, fresh milk, juices, eggs, native delicacies, plants, machinery as well as cooked seafood and meat products.
