CALUBIAN, LEYTE, Philippines – The Senate blue ribbon sub-committee will proceed with its investigation on the allegations of corruption against Vice President Jejomar Binay, despite the latter’s absence in the hearings.
Senator Alan Peter Cateyano who was in this town last October 18 for consultations with public officials and residents, said the absence of the vice president could not, in any way, stop the sub-committee investigation.
Cayetano then urged Binay to attend the hearings so the truth will come out, while he encouraged other witnesses to come out in the open to bare what they knew of the issues against the vice president.
