Bacoleño tops MedTech board exams

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A Bacoleño topped the Medical Technology licensure examination last September 13 and 14, conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission.

Patrick Joseph Mabugat, a graduate of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, scored 90.90 percent to emerged number one among the 2,986 passers out of the 3,615 examinees.

Patrick is the son of Superintendent Calixto Mabugat, assigned to the Police Regional headquarters in Iloilo, and Arlene Mabugat.

The elder Mabugat said he could not wait to hug his son when he returns home, adding that Patrick is now planning to take up medicine.

UNO-R placed eighth among the top 10 performing schools in the country, with a passing rate of 96.05 percent. —Marchel P. Espina (FREEMAN)
