Iloilo City Hall sex scandal issue closed

Montesa Griño Caoyonan - The Freeman

ILOILO CITY, Philippines - — The sex scandal issue that rocked City Hall early this month has been deemed closed by Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog.

The mayor said he does not need to investigate the matter further because no witness came up to testify the alleged scandalous act by two City Hall employees, one of whom was his executive assistant and the other a casual employee.

“Instead of investigating it, we have come up with a preventive measure by monitoring those employees who will be conducting overtime work after 5 p.m.,” he said.

Mabilog said he tasked City Administrator Norlito Bautista to coordinate with the security personnel at the City Hall to conduct regular roving inspection in all seven floors of the building after office hours.

Bautista said he also required security men to submit to him an inspection report everyday so that he could supervise the movements of employees doing overtime work.  (FREEMAN)
