All 3 escapees recaptured
BACOLOD CITY , Philippines — The police officer on duty at the Bago City Police Station is now under investigation after three detainees, including a minor, bolted the detention cell Thursday evening.
This was confirmed yesterday by Superintendent Arnel Arpon, Bago City Police director, as he revealed that Senior Police Officer 2 Jose Maria Antonio Ramos is under investigation for negligence of duty to determine if there were lapses that caused the escape.
“Ramos was relieved as a jailer in the police station because of the ongoing investigation,†Arpon said.
The escapees were Leonardo Ramos, 32, of Barangay Calumangan in Bago City; Emil Pacheco, 18, and a 17-year-old minor, both of Barangay Caridad.
On Friday morning, both Pacheco and the minor were apprehended in their barangay while the third suspect surrendered to the authorities in Barangay Pilar, Hinigaran town Saturday morning.
Pacheco and the minor were facing robbery charges while Ramos was charged with theft. The minor has a standing arrest warrant for robbery in band with a bail of P40,000, Arpon said. (FREEMAN)
