Alicia town lass wins Ms. Bohol Sandugo 2013

TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines – Eighteen-year-old Brigitte Burato, of Alicia town upstaged 17 other contestants to be crowned Miss Bohol Sandugo 2013, during the beauty pageant held at Bohol Culural Center here Saturday night.

The pageant, organized by the Bohol Sandugo Foundation, was the 24th annual staging as part of the month-long Sandugo (Blood Compact) Festival. The province now celebrates the 448th year of the Sandugo between Spanish conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legaspi and Bohol native chieftain Datu Sikatuna.

Other winners of the Sandugo 2013 pageant were Shaila Mae Rebortera, 17, of Baclayon town, as 1st runner-up,  Dae Narah Garcia, 17, of Talibon town (2nd runner-up), Mary Elaine Cimafranca, 19, of Dauis town and Jan Jeanhnette Labastida, 19, of Loon town. (FREEMAN)
