Australia Awards seeks scholars from E. Visayas

BORONGAN CITY, Philippines – The Australia Awards is looking for scholars from Leyte and Samar for a one-year program in post graduate studies.

This was announced by the team who was in town recently to encourage government employees who have at least rendered service for two years, to enroll in the program.

The following areas of study are open for applications: Basic Education, Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Foreign Relations, Organizational Development/Human Resource Management and Development, Pandemics (Preparedness and Management), Public Financial Management, Social Protection/Welfare, Peace and Development, Trade, Governance and Mining and Mining-related fields.

The Australia Awards spends about P2 million in full tuition fees, aside from pre-departure support, visa expenses, roundtrip airfare, establishment allowance, cost of living expenses, overseas student health cover, tutorial assistance if required and fieldwork support for research students.  (FREEMAN)
