10 candidates vie for Miss Dumaguete 2012 title

DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines— Ten women will vie for the Miss Dumaguete 2012 crown during a pageant on November 23 at the Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Complex in this city.

The candidates for this year’s pageant are Michelle Merced, Monica Bartsch, Rodilyn Dicen, Jedannah Marie Rivera, Crystal Gayle Nardo, Theriz Gay Kilat, Almond Leslie Zabat, Czarina Jeal Maree Manalon, Frances Claire Vintola and Griffith Irish Marchan.

They were presented in a press conference Saturday afternoon at the Robinson’s mall, attended by Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria, Glynda Descuatan, co-convener of the 2012 Fiesta Committee, and city officials.

City officials said the Miss Dumaguete beauty pageant will highlight the fiesta celebration and the Sandurot Festival on November 17. The Talent Night Competition will be on November 14.

Other fiesta activities are the Globe Street Party/Mobbed Dance Competition on Nov. 16; the Birik-Birik Fishing competition at Rizal Boulevard and the Sandurot Festival street dance and showdown competition on Nov. 17-18; and Charter Day thanksgiving mass on Nov. 24.
