Trash, not fish

NOT YELLOWFIN TUNA. An angler who favors Cebu’s seawaters said the trash problem has become so prevalent they can even snag trash at deep depths not previously known for its refuse.

He said floating trash isn’t just the problem anymore; oftentimes they “catch” adult diapers and various kinds of plastic garbage at depths where the bigger fish usually live.

“Tawag namo ana ‘cellophane tuna’,” he told The EAR.
