Free CCSC Summer Sports Camp to kick off April 10

CEBU, Philippines —  The young aspiring athletes in this side of the country have something to look forward to this summer through the free Summer Grassroots Sports Training Program of the Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) starting on April 10 in different venues.

 

Kids ranging from six to 18 years old can chose from a wide variety of sports to train such as archery, air rifle, arnis, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, chess, muay thai, dancesports, futsal, karatedo, lawn tennis, pencak silat, scrabble, sepak takraw, softball, baseball, table tennis, taekwondo, touch rugby, track and  field, volleyball, weightlifting, wushu and gymnastics.

The sports camp is open to all. This means that not only the residents of Cebu City can join but kids from the neighboring areas are also welcome to participate in the month-long training camp for free.

The participants will undergo extensive training under the guidance of volunteer student-athletes, varsity players and coaches.

The venues are spread in North and South district schools.

North District schools include the Cebu City Central School, Hipodromo ES, Lahug ES, Mabolo ES, Tejero ES, Zapatera ES, Bo. Luz ES and Talamban ES.

In the South are Don Vicente Rama Memorial Elementary School, Pardo ES, Mambaling ES, Labangon ES, Punta Princesa ES, Guadalupe ES, Inayawan ES, San Nicolas ES, School, Opra ES, Tisa ES and the Cebu City Sports Institute.
