VISITA. Did you know that every Holy Week, There is a group of Cebuanos in Malaysia who comes home to participate in the celebration of Semana Santa in their respective hometowns especially in the Visita Iglesia ritual.
NO CELEBRATION. Retired ship captain Joe de Castro told an Ear informer that many Cebuanos who have perpetual vows to celebrate Semana Santa at home always make it a point to come home as there is no celebration of Holy Week in Muslim Malaysia. While here they join neighbors in doing the Visita Iglesia and other Lenten rituals like the Station of the Cross or Via Crucis.
