A lesson learned by Vietnam

LESS DESTRUCTION.  A Japanese newsman, having coffee with other journalists in Manila four days after super typhoon struck the Visayas, was quoted by our Ear informer as saying: "Vietnam did not suffer much from Yolanda's (Haiyan's) blow because Yolanda's hit in the Philippines gave them (Vietnamese) an idea what to do when the super typhoon comes."

PREPARED. The Vietnamese journalist agreed with what his Japanese colleague said, according to our informer (also a journalist). Nevertheless, there was also destruction in Vietnam but not as bad as the destruction wrought by Yolanda in the Visayas, said the Vietnamese newsman.
