Early yesterday morning I got numerous texted reports that some 300 to 1,000 Moro National Liberation Front rebels attacked the City of Zamboanga early dawn Monday. Although the national news networks failed to get coverage of this, I gathered from my good friend Arthur Lopez who hails from Zamboanga via his brother Bubot who operates a radio station there that these are the forces under Haber Malik, a follower of Nur Misuari and they are now putting teeth to their demands for Muslim Independence. This is the second attack on Zamboanga since the year 2001 when the MNLF fought the military leaving a hundred people dead.
Why is it that all of a sudden the MNLF are taking the road to violence once more in the hope of gaining independence? Two years ago we already wrote about the dangers that Pres. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino, III did when on Aug. 5, 2011, he secretly met with Moro Islamic Liberation Front Chairman Al Haj Murad in Tokyo, Japan. Then a year later, the Republic of the Philippines signed a peace agreement with the MILF in Malacañang while totally disregarding the presence of the MNLF. People still cannot see the reality that Pres. PNoy signed a peace accord with the MILF which is really a splinter group of the MNLF. Now the MNLF is moving.
I have written many times already that this was a serious mistake by Pres. PNoy Aquino. He clearly listened only to his political adviser Ronald Llamas whose hidden objective was to sow terror and chaos in this country so that it would provide an opportunity to allow the Communist Party of the Philippines to attempt a naked power grab. Let me tell you that people have laughed at my analysis…especially those leftist groups who say that "Communism is passé" because that's what they want our people to believe.
But whether they like it or not…the CPP and its allies, the National Democratic Front and the New People's Army have become stronger during Pres. PNoy Aquino's reign. If you didn't know…their aboveground allied front organizations, which are duly approved partylist organizations, notably Gabriela, Bayan Muna, Kabataan, Act Teachers, Anakpawis, which are considered the Makabayan Coalition got a total of P674.215 million in Priority Development Assistance Fund. This is why all the more we should clamor for the removal of the Pork Barrel. Hopefully we'll see a larger crowed at the Fuente Osmeña today.
Knowing how Communism works here…for sure this huge amount of money that came from the taxes of our people must have been shared with their various allied organizations, including the NPA. That money can buy, arms, bullets, explosives and information. No wonder there have been a lot of attacks against the Armed Forces of the Philippines by the NPAs. This year alone, some 300 NPAs attacked the Del Monte Plantation in Bukidnon. Surigao and Compostela Valley have been in the forefront of many NPA ambushes. But somehow these attacks are not given front page news by the Aquino Regime so as not to alarm our people.
The NPAs are even getting bolder when the Eastern Mindanao Command issued a press statement that they found unexploded land mines used by the NPAs that were found to have a "deadly toxin and bacteria" that were found in the nails and re-bars in these Improvised Explosive Devices. Can we therefore assume that if the NPA had the capability…they too would even use chemical weapons against our soldiers? Of course the NPA denied this assertion by the military as mere propaganda.
But then again, we know too well that there is some kind of collusion between the MNLF, MILF and the CPP/NDF/NPA to further weaken the Aquino Regime and I can only say that for as long as we Filipino people do not wake up to what really is happening on the ground…and rely only on the Aquino propaganda machinery…we might just later find out that the nation is already on fire because all the forces that seek to destabilize our established government are cooperating to destroy us.
Tomorrow, it will be exactly 12 years since that dastardly attack by Al Qaeda terrorists using hijacked commercial airlines that were crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Yet after a dozen years later, even with the killing of Al Qaeda leader Osama Bid Laden, the world continues to suffer from this kind of scourge of death.
Here at home we have a decades-old Communist insurgency which has gone bolder and stronger, thanks to their share of the Pork Barrel. I challenge the Aquino Regime to distance itself from its ties with leftist groups whose only purpose is to weaken our government and somehow it is happening today with the MNLF asserting itself militarily in Zamboanga City.
