Lapu-Lapu CH workers to get P15T in bonuses

CEBU, Philippines – Regular workers and casual employees in Lapu-Lapu City Hall will receive cash bonus before Christmas Day, although there is no fixed schedule just yet.

Mayor Paz Radaza said during the Christmas party of the Association of the Barangay Councils in Hoopsdome, Barangay Gun-ob that they will receive P15,000 each, after the city council approved on Wednesday the resolution giving the workers and casual employees incentives.

There will be a special arrangement for the job-order employees through increasing their salary, Radaza said.

Around 3,000 job order employees are working at the Lapu-Lapu City Government while there are more than 500 regular and casual employees working under the city’s current administration.

Today, senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWD) living in Olango Island including the islets of Caubian, Caohagan and Pangan-an will receive cash gifts from the government through their respective barangays.

Senior citizens will receive P2,500 while PWDs will have P2,000 each.

Last Tuesday, the senior citizens and PWDs residing in the city’s barangays also received the same amount.

There are more than 19,400 senior citizens and 2,200 PWDs registered with the city government.  — Christell Fatima M. Tudtud (FREEMAN)
