CEBU, Philippines - A water-dispensing coin machine was reportedly robbed Thursday night by a group of young men believed to be under the influence of illegal drugs in Sitio Mananga 2, Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City.

The Automatic Tubig Machine was owned by Grace Badayos, 42. She told the police that the suspects were Joradin Diaz, 20; Joel Diaz, 18; Herman Hernandez, 19; and Deter Salomag, 18.

According to Badayos, the suspects are known drug users in their place and are noted for carrying out robberies whenever they don’t have money to buy drugs.

Badayos said the machine was positioned just near their store. The suspects allegedly forcibley opened the machine’s coin box and were able to cart away proceeds amounting to P2,000.

Upon her arrival, she noticed that her ATM was already destroyed.

The police are still trying to identify the whereabouts of the four. Appropriate charges will be filed against them, the police added.  (FREEMAN)
