CEBU, Philippines – Two men were stabbed while having a party late Saturday evening near a parking area of the Mactan Shrine in Lapu-Lapu City.
Jeric Taghoy, 21, a resident of Sitio Bout Center, Barangay Punta Engaño, sustained wounds on his left arm while Julius Sagarino, 19, of Barangay Mactan got injured on the left part of his stomach, police said.
Initial investigation showed Sagarino and Taghoy were on a celebratory mood in line with the barangay fiesta that evening when an unidentified suspect suddenly stabbed them.
Residents and visitors who were also in the area called the police and sought for help, and the two were rushed to Mactan Doctors’ Hospital for medical treatment.
Police are still conducting further investigation to arrest the suspect who was able to escape.
