Electrician electrocuted
CEBU, Philippines - A 23-year-old electrician died after he got himself electrocuted while fixing some electrical wirings inside a batching plant at the Mactan Newtown in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City on Thursday evening.
Paul Ericson Seno, a native of General Santos City working as a stay-in electrician/technician at a batching plant of Monocrete Construction Philippines, was rushed to Mactan Doctors' Hospital after he sustained burns in his left eye, left eyebrow and left hand and got unconscious from the electric shock while he was at work.
Police Officer 3 John Carlo Jocutan of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office Homicide Section revealed that moments prior to the incident, a fellow worker, Misael Danculos, saw the victim notice a spark from an extension wire on the wet ground.
Seno reportedly tried to fix it, but all of a sudden, the victim got electrocuted, prompting Danculos to unplug the extension wire.
Danculos then noticed the victim stand up for a while before falling to the ground, unconscious.
Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation personnel rushed Seno to the hospital but he was declared on arrival by an attending physician. (FREEMAN)
