CEBU, Philippines – A convenience store in Barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City lost P20,400 in cash after it was robbed by two unidentified suspects around 2:50 a.m. yesterday.

Arliza Gacasan, 31, cashier of C-24 Foodmart, and security guard Stephen Bautista reported to the Subangdaku Police station that the store was robbed by two unidentified suspects who were both armed with undetermined caliber of handguns.

The store is owned by Josefina Go.

One of the suspects was described to be 5'4" in height, brown in complexion with a mustache and was wearing a gray jacket and black short pants while the second suspect was about 4'10", small-built and was wearing a black shirt with print on the back.

Gacasan said both suspects went inside the establishment and pretended to be customers.

A few minutes later, both then went to the cashier's booth and took their handguns from their waist and aimed them to Gacasan and then announced the hold-up.

Out of fear, Gacasan said she was left with no choice but to hand the store's earnings to the suspects who hurriedly left the place onboard their motorcycle, and going towards the direction of Cebu City.

Police are now conducting further investigation on the incident as they learned that the establishment was equipped with a closed-circuit television camera.

Police are hoping that the said suspects will be identified once the owner will allow them to review their store's CCTV camera.
