Men rob lotto outlet owner

CEBU, Philippines - A lotto outlet owner lost his daily earnings after being held up by motorcycle-riding men past 11 p.m. on Friday.

Police Officer 3 Heracleo Gamboa of the Basak Police Station identified the victim as Fabian Medina, 57, married of Fatima Valley in Barangay Pagsabungan, Mandaue City.

Based on the investigation conducted, the victim had just closed his outlet located along the highway and brought along with him his P12,000 earnings.

Gamboa said after closing his shop the victim would just walk his way home because he still has to pass by a store and bring something for his family.

However, while walking, the two suspects onboard a motorcycle suddenly approached the victim and stopped him before immediately grabbing his black bag where the money was placed.

The victim said he could do nothing as he was shocked to see the gun of the suspects aimed at him.

Not contented, the suspects also asked for his wallet which contained P300 and took his expensive cellular phone. They then hurriedly left the place and travelled towards Consolacion town.  (FREEMAN)
