Compostela town marks 95th founding anniversary

CEBU, Philippines - Governor Hilario Davide III, Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, provincial board members Thaddeus "Jude" Sybico and Miguel Magpale are expected in the municipality of Compostela today for the town 95th founding anniversary celebration.

Town Mayor Joel Quino told The Freeman that Davide, Magpale, Sybico, and the younger Magpale have assured him of their attendance.

Today's celebration will be simple but Quino said a program has been prepared to make residents remember the particular day.

Town hall employees and officials will join a motorcade, which will serve as the opening of the celebration.

Also highlighting the festivity is the turnover of the Municipal Seal and Municipal Flag at the municipal hall ground.

A formal program will follow where Mayor Quino will deliver his message.  (FREEMAN)
