Lapu-Lapu asks DOH for support

CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City council is asking the Department of Health for assistance for the implementation of projects aimed at improving the health services for residents in Olango Island and neighboring islet barangays.

Vice Mayor Marcial Ycong said the city needs P12 million for the purchase of mobile clinics, P8 million for the continuation of financial assistance to indigent patients confined at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, P5 million for indigent patients confined at the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital, and P300 thousand for indigent patients confined at the Olango Hospital.  (FREEMAN)
