Man arrested for kicking cop
CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested Sunday dawn an alleged drunken man for illegal gambling and for kicking an arresting officer.
Panfilo Senarlo, 60, of Barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City was playing mahjong with friends and making a lot of noise, and the neighborhood, according to the grapevine, did not share the group’s joie de vivre.
A resident called the police to complain.
Senarlo must have resented the presence of the police so that when he was about to be arrested, he allegedly booted and injuring PO1 Ronald Manlangit at the same time hurling invectives at PO2 Salvador Pugoy.
In no time, Senarlo was overpowered and taken to the police station in Barangay Basak.
His companions had already fled.
Senarlo will also be charged with direct assault and drunkenness. (FREEMAN)
