Mandaue to send money to Leyte, northern Cebu
CEBU, Philippines - The Mandaue City government will send financial assistance to four areas in Leyte including Tacloban City and 19 towns in the northern part of Cebu that were devastated by typhoon Yolanda.
City administrator James Abadia said the financial aid they will receive will depend on the extent of the damage.
In his letter to the city council, Mayor Jonas Cortes approved the giving of financial assistance.
The 19 towns in Northern Cebu and four areas in Leyte that will receive financial assistance from the city government are:
Northern Cebu: Bantayan:P550,000; Madridejos: P400,000; Sta.Fe: P400,000; Daanbantayan: P550,000; Medellin: P400,00; San Remegio: P400,000; Bogo City: P600,000; Pilar: P300,000; Poro: P300,000; San Francisco: P400,000; Tabogon: P300,00; Tabuelan: P300,000; Sogod: P300,000; and Borbon: P500,000.
In Leyte, Tacloban City: P300,000; Ormoc City: P300,000; Albuerra town: P300,00; and Alang town: P300,000. (FREEMAN)
