CEBU, Philippines -  The first museum in Lapu-Lapu City will open to the public on November 14, to coincide with the 81st birthday of the late Police General Eleno V. Amores.

The family of the late General Amores, led by the general’s wife Donatilla “Naty” H. Amores, is preparing for the opening of the museum which will house old pictures, artifacts, documents, and other related things.

Damian Gomez Jr., former city councilor and chairman of the City Tourism Commission, said the museum is located beside the city fire department in barangay Gun-ob.

Gomez said the Amores family paid for the construction of the building.
