Impounded motorcycles cannibalized for spare parts?

Brenda Batuto - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City Councilor Danny Caballero, chairman of the committee on police, has expressed his intention to hear from police station officer-in-charge Superintendent Resty Santos about the condition of impounded motorcycles and to verify whether these have been cannibalized for spare parts.

Caballero is urging persons who have knowledge about alleged cannibalization of the motorcycles to see him at his office so that an investigation can be set in motion.

On the other hand, Santos, who has been at his post for four months now as OIC, said before he assumed his functions, the motorcycles were already in the impounding area and falling to pieces.

Twenty motorcycles are at the impounding area, which is located beside the TCPS building.  (FREEMAN)
