20 impounded motorcycles still unclaimed

Brenda Batuto - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Three years ago, 20 motorcycles were impounded by the Talisay City police and up till now these machines, some of them already corroded by rust, remain unclaimed.

Superintendent Resty Santos, officer-in-charge of TCPS, told The Freeman the motorcycles were impounded before he assumed office.

He said the police now list down the motorcycle’s chassis and engine numbers and send these to the Land Transportation Office (LTO), which in turn will identify the owner.

Some of the motorcycles were abandoned to avoid a checkpoint for one reason or another.  (FREEMAN)
