Vendor shot dead
CEBU, Philippines - Two men on a motorcycle shot to death yesterday dawn a 35-year-old vendor in Kasagingan, barangay Lawaan III, Talisay City.
Rey Mamalias Gallos, of sitio Selma Crusher, Lawaan III sustained a gunshot wound on his head.
He died on his way to the Talisay City District Hospital.
SPO1 Mikie Espina, PO1 Stephen Sefuesca and PO1 Edwin Campomanes Gallos and his wife were on their way home on their motorcycle when two unidentified persons on another motorcycle shot Gallos on the head.
Espina told The Freeman that the motive for the killing could be rivalry in business.
Gallos sells shoes and RTWs every night at the Tabunok tricycle parking area.
Last Thursday evening, Gallos and other vendors figured in an exchange of words over store space. (FREEMAN)
