Mandaue after illegal terminals

CEBU, Philippines - The Traffic Management Unit (TMU) of the Mandaue City Police Office has told jeepney drivers to refrain from creating illegal terminals along major thoroughfares in the city.

TMU head P/chief Inspector Elmer Jesus Fernandez said his office is now cracking down on erring drivers upon the orders of MCPO director P Sr./Supt Petronelli Baldebrin who noticed that illegal terminals obstruct traffic.

Last Monday night, three drivers were apprehended and issued TOPs for putting up an illegal terminal along M. C. Briones Street in barangay Guizo.

Most illegal terminals are put up at night.

Fernandez said the LTO office determines the fines to be imposed on erring drivers.  (FREEMAN)
