Mandaue finds lot for Looc school
CEBU, Philippines - The Mandaue City government, looking for a lot for the Cesar M. Cabahug Elementary School, has found it and intends to buy it.
The property lies adjacent to the school.
Lawyer Jamaal James Calipayan, the executive secretary of Mayor Jonas Cortes, said the city is waiting for the counter offer of the lot owners.
Calipayan said the lot measures 3,135 square meters.
He said acquisition of lots takes time.
When the lot owners present their counter offer, the local appraisal committee will check this to determine whether the price is reasonable, he said.
He said the negotiation for the 6.5 relocation site in barangay Paknaan started in 2009 and it was acquired in 2011.
In the case of the lot in barangay Looc, Calipayan said it may take about a year to complete the process. (FREEMAN)
