Lapu-Lapu barangay exec distributes school supplies

CEBU, Philippines - A barangay Maribago councilor distributed school supplies in two elementary schools.

Arvin Abing led barangay workers with the distribution of school supplies to hundreds of students of Buyong and Datag elementary schools.

Abing finds it necessary to provide needs of students especially with the opening of classes.

“Nakita nato nga usa gayud sa problema sa atong mga kabataan pagbukas sa klase mao ang ilang mga school supplies nga magamit,”  Abing said.

Abing said he did it out of compassion for the students and his desire to support the program of the city government.

Last month, Abing initiated a program aimed at educating residents in barangay Maribago on how to effectively respond during calamities.  (FREEMAN)
