CEBU, Philippines - The Mandaue City Police Office has assured it will send men to the voting precincts on Monday to maintain peace and order.
Senior Supt. Petronille Baldebrin, city director of Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO), said 104 policemen are already guarding Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines in the public elementary schools.
Baldebrin said MCPO has refrained from asking for additional men from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and from Regional Public Safety Management Battalion (RPSMB) since 54 Field Training Police (FTP) men can be utilized for the election period.
Baldebrin said the AFP can send soldiers to the city any time.
He said police patrol cars will be making the rounds and checkpoints will be set up in the barangays. (FREEMAN)
