Gullas commends TCC administration
CEBU, Philippines - First district Representative and Talisay City mayoralty candidate Eduardo Gullas commended the school administration of Talisay City College for turning out excellent teachers for five consecutive years.
The Talisay City council also approved yesterday a resolution commending Angelo Labajo Pahamutang and Junnalie Labajo Brago for making the top ten list in the recently concluded Licensure Examination for Teachers in the field of Secondary Education and Elementary Education, respectively, last March 10.
In a press conference, Gullas said he already requested the school administration to refund all the tuition Pahamutang and Brago had paid the school.
The TCC is the first local government-funded tertiary educational institution in the whole of Cebu province which started operating in 2004.
“The school is considered one of the most renowned educational institution due to its magnificence and uniqueness especially when it comes to its action plans and program implementation,†said Talisay City Councilor Dennis Basillote, who is the chairman of the committee on education.
Examinees from the college who figured prominently in the Licensure Examination for Teachers for five consecutive years include Aiza V. Pansacala, Zaldy Villarias, Mary Kaye O. Misa, Zamoras, Pahamutang, and Brago.
“The accomplishment is certainly due to the all-out support and effort of the different stakeholders not to mention the teachers, parents, administrators, students, and all the persons involved with an exceptional supervision of the same institution’s president, Dr. Tomas L. Ramos,†the resolution read, which was approved by all members of the city council.
Basillote also said Pahamutang and Brago deserve to be recognized not just for making the top ten list in the examination but more importantly for being a paradigm to young individuals to do better in their educational endeavor.
“They are the reigning inspirations of the many students towards the fulfillment of their dreams, Basillote said. (FREEMAN)
