CEBU, Philippines - A 17-year-old girl from Carcar City and a 19-year-old man from Cebu City were robbed yesterday while dating in barangay Poblacion, Talisay City at around 2 a.m.
Police said an unidentified man approached the young lovers, grabbed the man, declared a holdup, and demanded for their cellular phones.
Without hesitation, the girl quickly surrendered her phone worth P1,500 to the robber.
But the boyfriend may have had other things in his mind.
He freed himself from the robber’s grasp and fled, abandoning his girlfriend.
The robber shot at the fleeing boyfriend but missed.
He, too, fled.
The lovers later went to the Talisay City police station and reported the incident. (FREEMAN)
