Woman, 52, found riddled with bullets
CEBU, Philippines - A 52-year-old woman believed to be a victim of summary execution was found in sitio Aguho, barangay Liburon, Carcar City yesterday morning.
Felma Carusca Lopez, of sitio Pandan, barangay Poblacion, Sibonga town succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of her body.
She was taken to the Carcar Provincial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police are now pursuing Lopez’s involvement in illegal drugs as a possible motive based on evidence found in her person.
Police recovered P35.00, four pieces tin foil strips, two small sachets containing shabu residue, and a packet containing shabu found in one of the pockets of the woman’s short pants.
Found at the crime area was a disposable lighter, one 9mm bullet, a deformed slug, P65.00, and a mouthpiece.
Residents reportedly heard gunshots at around 4:00 or 5:00 a.m.
The body, found at around 6:00 a.m., will be autopsied.
It now lies at the Tupaz Funeral Homes. — (FREEMAN)
