Prime mover brings down VECO pole

CEBU, Philippines - A prime mover while cruising yesterday along M. C. Briones highway in barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City caught some cable wires and toppled a Visayan Electric Company pole.
The prime mover, with a van as its cargo, was driven by Narciso Bulambao of barangay Pajo in Lapu-Lapu City.
It came from Cebu City and was on its way to the north.
SPO1 Apolinario Neiz of the Mandaue Traffic Division said that when the prime mover caught the wires, it lost control and hit a post, toppling it in the process.
The falling post hit a multicab, driven by Rolito Malinao, causing slight damage to it.
Neiz said the VECO post was already in a state of deterioration. (FREEMAN)
