CEBU, Philippines - The Mandaue City council, during a special session yesterday, approved a proposed ordinance which seeks to grant year-end cash incentives to all city officials and regular employees.
Councilor Beethoven Andaya, chairman of the committee on finance said all city officials and regular employees earning a monthly salary of P10,000 and above per month will receive the equivalent to a month’s salary.
Andaya said regular employees earning below P10,000 and all job order employees will receive P10,000.
He said all clean and green workers and barangay nutrition health workers will receive P5,000.
The city councilor said the city government of Mandaue adheres to the resolution approved by the Senate and House of Representatives last June 17, 2009 which states that incentives can be given to government personnel, including rewards, for exceeding agency financial and operational performance targets, and to motivate employee.
