CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City police chief Supt. Eddie Recamara yesterday confirmed his suspension and relief from his post which will take effect on December 1.
Recamara said his relief was put on hold until the thanksgiving Mass for San Pedro Calungsod on November 30 when all security forces will be fielded.
Recamara was accused by Danao City Prosecutor Jose Kyamko of fabricating evidence against a detainee suspected of being a drug pusher.
He was charged with serious irregularity and conduct unbecoming of an officer.
Recamara once served as police chief in Danao City.
According to Recamara, his short stint in Talisay has taught him a lot and is proud that the station was awarded the best precinct in Central Visayas for having kept low the city’s crime rate.
“Ang akong nakat-onan mao ang maayong relasyon ngadto sa mga sakop sa polis hinungdan nga nakabaton ko og kahiusahan nga miresulta sa pagkamalamboon sa pagsulbad sa mga krimen. Dapat ang incoming na hepe ma-maintain o ma-develop pa niya ang talent sa mga polis diri kay kung dili magayran og tarong mawala unya ang ilang galing dili mapakinabangan,” Recamara said.
Recamara said his men does not need to be reminded on what to do because they know what they are doing.
“I learned a lot of things nga ang kakulangan sa resources dili maoy rason nga ma-ineffective ang mga polis, dapat ang mga polis maayong pagka-manage, dapat maayong pagkadala para tanan sila motrabaho gyud ug good leadership sa taas nga mopakita og suporta,” Recamara said. (FREEMAN)
