Batch 2004 secure bronze medal in Division B

CEBU, Philippines — The ‘04 The Win Batch 2004 blasted the Nest Workspaces Batch 2013, 91-79, in their knockout battle for third place to grab the bronze medal in Division B of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season 29 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles Arena in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

Kylle Valmoria bannered four Batch 2004 players who recorded a double-double, finishing with 22 points and 12 assists spiced with six rebounds and a steal.

Franco Augusto Te posted 18 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, Christopher Consunji had 12, 13 rebounds and one assist while Erwin Lopena also tallied 12 markers with 11 rebounds, two assists and a steal for Batch 2004, which exploded in the second half to lead by as many as 22 points, 91-69, in the final five minutes.

Jedd Ryan Go also caught the eye with 21 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal in an impressive season-ending performance for Batch 2004.

Aside from Batch 2004 of coach Gary Cortes, the other bronze medallists are the Big Three Pizza Batch 1996 in Division A and Batch 2014 in Division C.

Meanwhile, the best-of-three division finals will kick off on Sunday, July 19.
