Team Fuentes, PJH Sniper rout foes to stay unbeaten

CEBU, Philippines — Team Fuentes and the PJH Sniper pummeled separate foes to stay unscathed after two starts in the maiden Badbeat Basketball League (BBL) season powered by Dimsum Break at the Sacred Heart Center Sports Club along D. Jakosalem Street in Cebu City.

Boy Alcontin paced Team Fuentes with 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists while Robles led PJH Sniper with 18 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

On the other hand, Lomax Event, CJ’S-CDC, and Flip Basketball also went 2-0.

Allen Alicando collected 23 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals as Lomax Event edged Wagas & Estorgio Law Firm, 74-68, while Albert Borling dished out 18 points, six rebounds and four assists to power CJ’s-CDC to a 93-87 triumph over GSR Motorshop & Barbershop.

Not to be outdone, Niko Laborte cashed in 17 markers, five boards, and four dimes as Flip Basketball subdued the Houndz, 75-64.

In the other results, Ralph Belarmino tallied 14 points, seven rebounds, and three assists sa the Newfold Wolves barged into the win column with a 93-56 thrashing of the Bai Ballers, while Cardo Gerundio turned in 18 points, six rebounds, and five assists as the Viking’s upended the Barakodas, 66-56, to improve their record to 2-1. — EBV
