SPEAK pummels SKBC in Amicis Basketball League

CEBU, Philippines — Kent James Aragon exploded for 30 points spiked with 11 rebounds and six assists as Team SPEAK annihilated the hapless SKBC, 105-48, in what is by far the most lopsided victory in the 1st Amicis Basketball League (ABL) season at the Consolacion Sports Complex.

Kurt Almendras banged in 24 markers on top of seven rebounds as Team SPEAK of playing team owner Ryan Perez joined SK Consolacion at second place in the 29 Under standings with identical 2-1 win-loss records.

Sealteal Yap scored 16 points and passed away seven assists while James Manulat also finished with 16 points laced with six rebounds for SPEAK, which kept SKBC at bay since racing to a hot 24-12 start.

After closing the first half with a commanding 42-23 lead, SPEAK grew even fiercer and pounded SKBC in the final two quarters, 63-25, to come up with a 57-point massacre.

Charles Alano scattered 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while Kier Semilla nailed 11 markers in a losing cause for SKBC.

Games of the maiden ABL season backed up by North Sports Apparel, VDrink Malunggay Juice, and Consolacion LGU headed by mayor Joyjoy Alegado are under the supervision of commissioner Lee Mar Dahil assisted by technical committee chief Aurelio Eslawan. EBV
