All set for 10th Alegado Cup

CEBU, Philippines —  It’s all systems go for the 10th Mayor Alegado Cup Consolacion Fiesta Basketball League set to kick off on September 1 at the Consolacion Sports Complex.

League commissioner Paul Alelu Flores said the same categories as last year will be contested in this year’s edition of the annual tournament that is among the highlights of Consolacion’s annual fiesta celebration in honor of their beloved patron San Narciso on October 29.

These are the open little mini (13-under), mini (15-under), and midget (18-under) and the inter-barangay categories for midget (18-under), SK junior (21-under) and senior.

The centerpiece of the month-long tilt is the open-commercial division.

The sports committee running the event is headed by Consolacion SK Federation President Carlos Donn Flores. His co-chairpersons are councilors Marilou P. Casul, Victor Maglasang and Benjamin ‘Boy’ Tibon and Liga ng mga Barangay President Wesley Alimoren.

Games will be under the supervision of technical committee chief Aurelio Eslawan assisted by SK chairmen Jasper Dayday and Jeffers Cabahug. — EBV
