Central Visayas booters gear up for Palarong Pambansa

Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — The Central Visayas booters will be the first to see action in the Palarong Pambansa today in Davao City.

CeeVee's elementary and secondary teams have been scheduled to play in the opening day.

The University of San Jose-Recoletos-powered secondary team faces a tough task against host team Davao, while Don Bosco Technology College will represent the elementary team that will battle Bicol Region at the Tiongko field.

Although DAVRAA has home-court advantage, coach Rommel Ramirez said he is hoping that their wards will be able to keep their focus as most of them already have a previous Palaro exposure.

“This is the first time for USJ-R in the Palaro, but some of the players have experienced because they were the champions during their elementary days last 2014 in Laguna. Hopefully they will be able to sustain the pressure," said Ramirez.
