El Tesoro nears Alberto’s Pizza Anniversary bowling title
CEBU, Philippines — El Tesoro Turrones is one win away from clinching the championship tropy of the Alberto’s Pizza 11th Anniversary Bowling Invitational Tournament.
El Tesoro garnered a total of 7,754 points to maintain the lead over the weekend at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.
El Tesoro’s keglers Micmic Miranda, Jericho Jumapao, Jomar Jumapao, Luke Bolongan, Jaime Sainz and Dovie Sainz knocked down 984 pins in the first round, which was the highest single team score of the day.
The team then scored 854 in the second round, capped off by 885 points to seal the lead.
Rich Banana Catsup trails with 7,408 points, while San Remigio Beach Club settled for third with 7,385.
Rounding up the top eight are E. O. Bucoy Consultants (7,347), Jepes Saver (7,249), CETBA Ladies (7,054), Five Star (6,875) and CETBA Juniors (5,845).
Jumar Jumapao of El Tesoro bagged his second highest individual single award with his 257 score in the men’s division while CETBA Ladies’ Rose Camero got 181 points for the women’s side.
Meanwhile, Ronan Barredo seized the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) Bowler for the Month of February trophy.
Barredo, a 20-handicapper, clinched the top spot after scoring 1,307 in the six-game series. Micmic Miranda (1,251) and John Nelson (1,233) finished second and third place, respectively.
