Cebu Northwest ultra race draws 43 entries

CEBU, Philippines —  Forty three long distance runners from all over the region are set to join in the 4th Cebu Northwest 100-mile Ultramarathon slated on November 24 starting at the Daanbantayan municipal hall and ending at the Plaza Independencia in Cebu City.

 

Aside from the top local runners, out-of-town entries from Tacloban, Samar, Leyte, and Manila including a Taiwanese runner will be put to a test in this lung-busting race.

From Daanbantayan, the runners will traverse the towns of San Remigio, Tabuelan, Tuburan, Asturias, and Balamban passing through the Transcentral highway until they reach Barangay Lahug to Plaza Independencia.

The race will start at midnight on November 24, Saturday,  and is expected to end Sunday morning. The participants must finish the race within the 34-hour cut-off time.

All finishers will receive a commemorative buckle, dog tag, personalized plaque and souvenir shirt.
