Dancesport Team Cebu City gears up for Mid-Year Rankings

CEBU, Philippines — Dancesport Team Cebu City (DTCC) gears up for the DanceSport Council of the Philippines Inc. (DSCPI) Mid-Year-Ranking and Competition set today at the Valle Verde Country Club in Pasig City.  DTCC is sending an 18-couple team for the competition, which will determine that rank of each athlete in the nationals.

 

Among the 18 couples are Shardie Abellana and Marjorie Pasaje, Latin B and Special Event 1C; Nigel John Angel and Shadelle Nina Hernandez, Standard Juvenile 2 A and Latin Juvenile 2 C; Lloyd Simon Asuque and Jasmine Kate Labra, Standard Youth A and Latin Youth A; James Bryan and Christine Camacho, Standard C and D; Romeo Jay Cialbo and Mae Pabuaya, Standard B; Jake Emmanuel Corro and Kim Jocson, Standard Youth C and Latin Youth C; Gylle Nino Dilluvio and Yeddah Marie Castanares, Standard Youth A, Latin Youth A; Mark Jabonero and Charlene Mernilo, Latin D, Special Event 1 C; Malvin Jamali and Charlene Mernilo, Standard D, Special Event 1 C; Jasmer Labitad and Lorraine Mae Pacana, Latin C, Special Event 1 C; John Lloyd Leyson and Ouie Selene Rendon, Standard Junior A, Junior C, Latin Junior A, Junior C; Kharl Michael Minoza and Sofia Isabella Maree Quilaton, Standard Juvenile 2 C, Latin Juvenile 2 A; John Paul Mocorro and Mary oy Dumosmog, Latin A; Jimmy Noel and Eleanor Hayco, Latin Senior A; Nino Salve and Trixie Pearl Dicdican, Standard Junio C, Latin Junior C; Hezekiah Sobrevega and Rydel Rowella Pat, Standard Junior A, Latin Junior C; Andrew Ysla and Eco Arlym, Standard Special Event 2 C; and Andrew Ysla and Noelyn Mie Pedrano, Latin A.

They will be led by their Team Coach and Principal Teacher Crisaldo “Loloi” Rendon.  DTCC continues its advocacy of promoting dance sports in Cebu through several activities held throughout the year.  The Mid-Year ranking in the second among three competitions organized by DSCPI and held in the national capital region.

Aside from DSCPI competitions, the team also participates in other Philippine competitions and other events abroad.  Its biggest event will be the World DanceSport Federation Cebu Open on September 8 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino where hundreds of athletes all over the country and from around the world are expected to participate.
