CEBU, Philippines — The QBE Generals swept the Contact Solutions Flying Lemurs in their best-of-three finals with a close 63-61 decision in Game 2 to claim the Evo League title in the Tanduay Athletics CSCC E-Leagues for Basketball Season 13 last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Norman Rey Guigue and Johnrey Girasol connived for 33 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and three assists to help Generals in closing out the Flying Lemurs.
The Generals actually trailed by four after the first period, 9-13, but turned the tide of the match with 21-13 run that vaulted them to a 30-26 edge at the interval.
The two protagonists figured in a nip and tuck battle the rest of the way but the Generals held on their ground against a spirited resistance by the Flying Lemurs to finish the series.
Season MVP Roberto Castro, Jr. rose to the occasion with 11 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals in another spectacular performance, albeit in a losing cause for the Flying Lemurs.

Jayper San Brigoli chipped in 12 markers, five rebounds and two assists for the All-Stars, who will meet again the Converters on November 11 for the coveted crown.
Franz Dionne Dysam scattered 20 points, six assists, five rebounds and five steals but this time he fell short of his target for the Converters, who are chasing after a historic grandslam feat. (FREEMAN)
