CMBA scores grandslam in CIT-U Intrams
CEBU, Philippines - The combined forces of College of Management Business and Accountancy (CMBA) and the College of Nursing known as Team N 4 M blasted the Engineering Gold, 81-68, to rule the basketball event of the 2016 Cebu Institute of Technology-University Intramurals recently.
Reinforced by two nursing students, CMBA-Nursing of coach Allan Borres Delantar completed a grandslam feat having won the title also in the past two editions of the annual sportsfest.
The CMBA-Nursing led by Dan Tejam, Wyn Bargamento and Nico Otadoy mounted a 16-point edge midway in the third period, but the Engineering Gold countered with a 12-4 blast to close in at 60-50.
The Engineers further pulled within just eight points, but CMBA countered with a searing 15-2 run to regain a commanding 76-58 lead. The Engineers couldn't get any closer than 10 points from thereon.
It was a double celebration indeed for CMBA as its bet Geomelou Thea P. Viñalon, a BSTM-3 student, was chosen as the Miss 2016 CIT-U Intramurals. (FREEMAN)
