CIS Friendship bootfest set for March 5-6
CEBU, Philippines – This year's edition of the annual CIS Friendship Cup dubbed as 'Kyle Weckman and James Jung Memorial Cup' will take place on March 5-6 at the Cebu International School.
Open to all football clubs, the event is aimed at helping promote football in Cebu especially at the grassroots level.
During the tournament, the organizers hope that everyone will exhibit true sportsmanship at the same time cultivate friendship with fellow footballers.
The categories to be contested are the mixed under 7, 9, 11, 13, boys 15, boys and girls 18, men's open, BPO and inter-company combined, and the ladies open. Each category will have a maximum of 16 teams on a first come, first served basis.
The organizers will only allow four entries per school or club.
Each team shall have a maximum of nine players for the 9-a-side and 12 for the seven-a-side.
